For Admission to TJC Integrated Programme (IP) Year 1 in 2026
If you are a Primary 6 student who is talented either academically, musically or in sports, or who possesses strong leadership qualities, TJC’s Integrated Programme is the place for you! TJC is anchored in a strong tradition of academic excellence and service to the community and country. Our distinctive Integrated Programme is designed to nurture the talents of every student, with student-centric programmes that will enable you to imagine possibilities, aim for higher goals, and reach your fullest potential.
Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school for the duration of the 6-year Integrated Programme and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4.

Academic
We welcome students who show a strong passion for their chosen academic area and who want to nurture their talent to their highest potential in TJC.
Students who enrol through any of our 4 academic talent areas will join our Talent Development Programme and our pinnacle academic enrichment programme, Temasek Academy. This programme develops students’ intellectual abilities beyond the typical curriculum and exposes students to a wide range of opportunities that allows their talents to flourish.

• All shortlisted applicants must sit for an individual written selection test.
• This will focus on knowledge and skills in the talent area, some part of which might extend beyond the regular school curriculum.
• Applicants who are further shortlisted will attend an interview.
Music Elective Programme
We invite all skilled and passionate musicians to be a part of our strong musical tradition through our established Music Elective Programme (MEP).
Students who enrol through DSA-Music will need to fulfil the following two conditions:
1. join the MEP and take up Music as one of their examinable subjects
2. join one of the Music-related Performing Arts CCAs in TJC.IP MEP is a four-year commitment and is an examinable subject. The instrument used during the DSA audition will be taken to be their main instrument in the programme.

Music Elective Programme (MEP)
● Selection is based on students’ knowledge of musical concepts and skills covered in the primary school Music syllabus.
● Students need to be competent in performance skills (for example, display basic fluency and sound fundamental techniques) that can be developed through music CCAs or through other musical experiences.In your online application via MOE’s DSA-Sec portal, applicants are to state your music background or relevant skill sets (if any) as accompanying information.
All shortlisted applicants for MEP must go through a Selection Exercise, which comprises:
• A written listening test
• An audition, which also consists of aural tests and a short interview.
For the audition, applicants are to prepare: Two contrasting pieces on the instrument(s)/voice of their choice, with a duration of 5 minutes in total.
Applicants are to submit via email:
1) Music scores of their audition repertoire
2) Their scores or recordings if they have composed music.

We invite all skilled and passionate musicians to be a part of our strong musical and performance tradition in TJC.
Students who enrol through DSA-Concert Band will join the Symphonic Band CCA in TJC. The instrument/s used during the audition will be their instrument/s allocated in the Symphonic Band.

Concert Band
● Ability to play any of the following symphonic band instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba or any symphonic band percussion instruments.
● Symphonic band percussion instruments include the snare drum, timpani and mallet percussion instruments like the xylophone, glockenspiel etc. Drum set/kit will not be considered.
● Very good CCA records
All shortlisted applicants for band must go through a Selection Exercise, which comprises:
● An audition, which also consists of sight reading and a short interview.
For the audition, applicants are to:
● Prepare two contrasting pieces on a symphonic band instrument, or instruments; of a total of not more than 5 minutes.

We welcome students who have shown strong sporting talent and ability, and who are excited to achieve even greater heights with Team Temasek.
Students who enrol through DSA-Sports will join the CCA of their respective sport. They will undergo rigorous training to develop them to their fullest potential, including opportunities to represent the school at sporting competitions at the Zonal / National level and international exposure where appropriate.

Be in proper sport shoes, preferably mid / high-cut basketball shoes.
The trial will consist of:
1. Dribbling skills
2. Layup n shooting drills
3. 5v5 game play
Bowling
Bring your personal equipment for the trial (to be conducted at SuperBowl SAFRA Tampines).
The trial will consist of:
1. Bowling skill sets over 10 frames in a game
Taekwondo
Be in Taekwondo uniform (Dobok).
The trial will consist of:
1. Demonstration of relevant poomsae patterns and kicks, followed by a short interview

TJC nurtures leaders of the future who are passionate and purposeful in what they do, in line with our College motto “For College, For Nation”. If you have strong leadership potential, let TJC shape you into a leader who will make a positive difference to the College, your community and our country.
Students who enrol through DSA-Sec (Leadership) will have the opportunity to partake in various leadership platforms and will be assigned development opportunities to hone their public speaking and communication skills, as well as to grow their leadership competencies. DSA-Leadership students will also be mentored by their seniors and teachers throughout their journey in TJC. Students will also be expected to take up leadership positions in their class or CCA levels, and to run for the Students' Council in IP Year 2.

Leadership
● Applicants should be exemplary role models who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and potential to contribute to the College through their experiences in key leadership positions in primary school (Executive Committee member in the Prefectorial Board/Students’ Council or equivalent, CCA leader etc) OR have led projects that have impacted the community.
All shortlisted applicants will attend an interview.
● Applicants may include non-school-based achievements in their online application in MOE’s DSA-Sec portal.Please note that meeting all the criteria does not guarantee that the student will be shortlisted/given an offer. This is due to different profiles of applicants, selection/shortlisting trends that may differ year on year.

Please note the following:-
An applicant can indicate up to three choices.

Each choice consists of a secondary school and a talent area offered by that secondary school.

Of the three choices, an applicant may use a maximum of two choices to apply to the same school, for two different talent areas of that school.
Candidates Not Studying in Mainstream Schools

Candidates (Overseas Applicants and International Students including Singaporean Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (PR)) who are not studying in MOE mainstream schools, are required to apply for a Registration Number (RGxxxxxxx) before they can apply through the DSA-Sec Portal. International students (IS) who are not studying in MOE mainstream schools are also required to take the AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students) test before applying for DSA. Refer to https://www.moe.gov.sg/international-students/aeis/ apply for details.
Dates for Selection Tests/Auditions/Trials/Interviews:

Applicants will receive notification from Temasek Junior College from 4 July to the end of July 2025, if they are shortlisted for the DSA selection process.

The selection tests/auditions/trials will be held from 9 July to 7 Aug 2025.

All selection tests/auditions/trials/interviews will be conducted in-person at Temasek Junior College or a relevant sports venue.

Only shortlisted applicants will be notified via email and/or SMS for a selection test/audition/trial.

Applicants who are further shortlisted after these selection tests/auditions/trials will be invited to attend an interview in July to August 2025.

Outcome of Application

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email between 25 August and 4 September 2025.

Points to note:

The General Ability Test (GAT) is not used as part of our selection process for the Direct School Admission Exercise. Applicants do not need to register for the GAT.

Successful DSA-Sec students are NOT allowed to participate in the annual Secondary 1 Posting Exercise to opt for secondary schools.

Successful DSA-Sec students are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school for the duration of the 6-year Integrated Programme, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4.
