Wonder.Observe.Weave! (WOW!)

Wonder about an issue or field; Observe and learn relevant skills and information; Weave all this into a project that you create. That is the aim of the WOW! Attachment, which gives all IP4 students the chance to learn skills and knowledge in dynamic real-world settings. WOW! is a four week programme that IP students participate in throughout the month of January before they start their IP5/JC1 year. Instead of attending lessons in school, each student signs up for an attachment to an external organisation that is a WOW! Partner. These include A*STAR Research Institutes, University departments, Science Centre Singapore, museums, as well as start-up companies. Working closely with mentors from these organisations, students develop their understanding of their chosen fields while acquiring relevant skills and/or content. Students demonstrate and apply what they have learned by completing an assigned project during the course of their attachment and creating a wiki to be hosted on the school web site.
