DSA-Sec Exercise: Application to Year 1 Integrated Programme (Intake 2016)


Application for DSA-Sec Exercise 2015 commences from 11 May 2015 (9.00 am) to 30 June 2015 (5.00 pm, Singapore time).


You are eligible if you are currently a Primary 6 student who has:

    • Very Good academic results

In addition to the above criteria, applicants with good CCA/CIP records (i.e. achievements, leadership experiences or service to community) will also be considered.

All applicants must sit for the selection test. Only shortlisted applicants will have to attend an interview.

Students not studying in Mainstream schools
    • Students who are not studying in the MOE mainstream schools, including Singaporean Citizens (SC) and Permanent Residents (PR) are required to obtain a Registration Number from MOE Customer Service Centre (CSC) before applying for DSA.     • International students (IS) without Dependant’s Pass (DP) or Immigration Exemption Order (IEO) and whose parents are not SC/PR are required to take the AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students) test before applying for DSA.


1) Application Form

Click here to proceed with your online application. Please make sure that you select ‘New Form' under the application status. The application form should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
After completing all the sections in the online application form, please click on the "Submit" button to submit the online form.

Complete the application process by submitting a hardcopy printout of the application form (with a photograph affixed) and supporting documents, directly to the College (by hand or mail) by Tuesday, 30 June 2015 (5.00 pm, Singapore time) to:

    • TJC General Office operating hours: Monday - Friday (8.00 am to 5.30 pm)
    • Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays.
    • Application received by fax and email will NOT be considered.

Supporting documents (photocopies, need not be certified) must include:
    • Primary 4 and 5 academic results slips (Mid-Year & End-of-Year)
    • Primary 6 academic results slips (till latest available)
    • Primary 4 to 6 CCA and CIP records
    • Your Personal Statement (Between 350 and 500 words - Tell us your talents which you think set you apart from the rest of the applicants.)
    • Records of additional qualifications (only highest level required), achievements, awards, scholarships etc. (if applicable)

2) Selection Test (For ALL applicants)

General Ability Test (GAT)
    • All applicants are to sit for the General Ability Test (GAT) which is conducted by Principals Academy (PAI).
    • The GAT is a standardized assessment of an applicant's general reasoning ability, and it measures learning capacity, observational skills and problem solving ability which is free from language and cultural bias.
    • Applicants are to register for GAT directly with PAI, at the following link: http://www.gat.sg
    Note: Refer to the GAT website for the test schedule and payment.
      • Test dates: June - 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27
      • Test fee: S$50.00 (Payable to PAI / Non-refundable & Non-transferrable)
      • Students under MOE Financial Assistance Scheme, SAC Bursary Scheme or any school bursary scheme will have this application fee waived. Please call PAI at 6363 0330 when registering.

3) Interview (For shortlisted applicants)

    • Only shortlisted applicants will be notified via email and/or sms for an interview. Interviews will be held in July/August 2015.

4) Outcome of Application

    • All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing (letter to their residential address) by 31 August 2015


Points to note:
    • Successful DSA-Sec students are NOT allowed to participate in the annual Secondary 1 Posting Exercise to opt for secondary schools.
    • Successful DSA-Sec students are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. They are expected to honour their commitment to their posted DSA schools for the duration of the programme admitted to.
